I am an Australian artist based on South Australia’s Fleurieu Peninsula. My work is shaped by nature, lived experience, and an intuitive, emotion-led process grounded in close observation. Working across watercolour, mixed media, and drawing, my practice is supported by a long-standing foundation in photography.
I work slowly and deliberately, allowing each piece to emerge through attention to light, movement, and the quiet presence of animals and landscape. Birds and horses are recurring subjects in my work, drawn from my own photographic archive and explored as symbols of stillness, resilience, and connection to place.
A period of significant illness required me to slow my physical pace and rethink how I worked. This shift fundamentally changed my practice. I returned to watercolour for its simplicity and gentleness, and my work became quieter, more considered, and more attentive to subtle detail. While my creativity remained active, my process evolved— prioritising patience, presence, and depth over speed.
I work from Scrubby Nook Studio, a rural, nature-immersed space surrounded by native bush and farmland. While Scrubby Nook also supports broader creative and therapeutic offerings, my personal practice here centres on making work shaped by endurance, observation, and hope. Nature and creativity remain central to both my art and the way I continue to engage with the world.
